steelwind101
Hey Guys! Ok, well after searching around for various glass sealants i was remebered how everyone had spoken before about Car Plan Nano Metric and how it holds up quite well. I found it online and at "motor accessory world" delivered for just £6.50! I have purchased it and opened it up and found it is in three little bottles! Anyway, it says to use within 24hrs of mixing, (this is getting all Zaino ZFX on me) but i wanted to use some more on another week on another car. The little bottle looks like liquid clay, should be intreasting! Any advice on applying or using would be appreciated esp. to get the most out of the product. Did you apply with the paper towels included or use a foam app? Geoff PS. Yes that is an entry to Chevrolets Dream Garage in the top of the pic! bpsmith
I used this on my Wife's A2 over 2 years ago and got a brand ne pack waiting to go on sometime soon. Bought from Halfrauds for £20 IIRC so gutted at your price! Firstly, there is more than enough in the bottle to do the A2 over twice, possibly three times! A small car but the front and rear glass are pretty expansive so would think you could easily do two cars with it and still have some remaining. Only found this out after mixing the whole bottle and applying to the A2 twice over for max coverage, so potentially a single coat could even do double the above? Secondly, I applied using the cloths but they were rubbish so plan to use an applicator this time around. Although will use the cloths for the pre-treatment as is pretty darn thick stuff and will quickly clog up an applicator or MF cloth. Thirdly, Pay very little attention to the final instructions which state that you should leave it on with no need to buff. I found this to be totally wrong as the glass was extremely milky when totally dry and I believe totally undriveable. I used the last of the included cloths to remove the final residue and then buffed with a fresh MF cloth. The finish was pukka and the rain beaded off awesomely once getting to 35-40mph and faster as your speed increased! Lasted for easily a 12 month too but no glass cleaner used in between, only shampoo. Finally, Chevrolet Dream Garage, explain...
bpsmith
Forgot to say that you are once more a busy lad in purchasing a new product! And also, that I bought my brother some of the Paint Sealant around the same time, 18 months ago, and was surprisingly durable also. Nice finish too. steelwind101
Thanks for the info! Looks like i will do all the cars in one hit, washing them all that day or the day before and giving them a quick QD before applying. I was hoping the cleaner wouldent be to bad, the Carlack one i tried was a total pain! Here is the link for the Nanometric gear at cut down prices, MotorMania Car Accessories - Car Care - Self-Cleaning Nano-Technology - 1st 4 Car Accessories & Car Parts in UK. Car Accessories & Car Parts Experts. Car Accessories from top brands. Car Accessory heaven! free delivery and they accept paypal which is nice and easy! I might do a 50-50 mix in another bottle first to see if i get each mix to last longer. The cloths included did not look to promising so i was thinking may an foam app. too. The Chevrolet dream garage is (a bit of joke in itself) is a game that is given away in newspapers on saturdays. I think you can play online too. You get a card with a bunch of stickers, all of them Chevrolet UK cars. You stick down your 3 favorites and pop it in the post, if your card is drawn you will win your dream (haha) Chevy garage. 3 wonderful Chevys can grace your drive way! Just a bit of a joke at my office at how its your dream garage and they are all bit dodge! Thanks for the help, hope to apply this weekend to the Lancer the back window has no wiper which is a pain, must be a slightly different angle to 5 series which seems to have less issues. I cant help buy new products, esp. when they are on sale! Geoff

Marconal
Tried it (and Rain X) but found Rain Clear better. Use the scrub first to get the glass clean though. I am going to try their new Ultra Clear which is an OK product for me (being lazy) - it cleans and protects in one go. Tarmac_Terrorist
Some folks never miss an opportunity for a free plug I have tried the Car Plan Nano wheel sealant and tyre shine. I initially thought both were fairly good but it became apparent that these two products weren't all that durable and yet quite expensive considering. Will be interested to see how durable the glass sealent / rain repellent is
jwo
I have found the aquapel product the best - it is still beeding well (no wipers needed) after 6months - car has been washed in between time too!! Much much much better than rainx!
