ahaydock
Here is my mini write up on the new Dodo Juice ‘Need for Speed’, all in one Cleaner Wax. Firstly this product is not designed to and will not replace a separate stage process of a polish and wax, but what it will do is offer a decent alternative when time is tight (or you just cannot be bothered). Having used Zymol Cleaner Wax and the Smart Premium Polish + Wax AIO several times on Friends and Families cars when time has been tight, or just a ‘quick tidy up’ is required I was very interested to see how this performed and compared. The product comes in the standard Dodo Juice packaging and as with all their products smells nice (reminded me of a pleasant fruity smelling hair shampoo): The consistency is thicker than say Dodo Juice Lime Prime, and more similar to that of AG SRP (not quite as thick though). Compared to the other Cleaner Waxes above, it is slightly thinner in consistency than them. To test it out I decided to use it on an M plate Honda Civic that is due a full correction. I spilt the bonnet into half, and then split one half into 2. The idea behind this was to show how it compared to the untreated paint. One half I applied it by hand and the other half I applied it by my G220 to show the comparison between the 2 possible methods. By Hand I applied a small blob to a Megs Foam Applicator that was lightly spritzed with QD first and worked the product in, then left it for approximately 5 minutes to allow the wax to cure. Once it had it was easily removed with a MF cloth. By DA Machine Polisher Using my Megs G220 DA Machine Polisher and a Megs Polishing pad lightly spritzed with QD, I applied 2 small blobs. I spread the product on speed 2 with a couple of quick passes before upping the speed to 3.5-4. I did about 3/4 fairly fast passes left to right, and 3/4 passes top to bottom. Again I left it about 5 minutes allowing the wax to cure before easily removing with a MF cloth. Results Apologies for the poor pictures, however you can see that in one easy application a considerable difference is made. Front wing before: Front wing after when using G220: Bonnet 50/50, it is hard to see the difference between machine and hand application but there is one. The top half is by hand so you can still see the difference it makes. Conclusion All in all this is a very capable ‘all in one’ product and out of the three, would be my recommendation. The Zymol Cleaner Wax IMO is also capable, however where the Dodo Juice beats it IMO is in terms of ease of use (and it doesn’t dust like the Zymol - although I found the Zymol not too dusty, however you do hear reports that it can be) and the amount of correction it achieves with minimal effort. It has left a decent finish and if you have the option I would recommend applying it by machine, although that is not to say application by hand is poor – it is far from it. It will be interesting to see how durable this product is but only time will tell… If you need an AIO product then this is certainly the one. Well done (again) Dodo Juice. steelwind101
Hello! Intreasting stuff, thanks for the write up. A few months ago you were provided with some Z-AIO how would you say these compare? ALso, this is abrasive free? Thanks Geoff
ahaydock
Thanks. I found this better than the Z-AIO, the only problem is I have never actually applied Z-AIO by machine so dont know how that performs. I believe this does have abrasives in it
bpsmith
Awesome fella. A nice write up as usual. It's how it works that matters and not how the package looks, we all agree there, but does anyone think that the DoDo looks extremely cheap and nasty as a merchandised package!?! steelwind101
I agree a little with BPS the Supernatural doesnt have any werid smells or colours. They obviously make decent profit off of it but i cant help but feel it wouldent look out of place in Halfords or Tescos! Ahaydock, what would you say the looks are like? Like any of the other Dodo juices or "new juice" so to speak?
bpsmith
Its not a criticism of the products in any way as quite a few very good reviews recently, but just what initially hits you regarding marketing, especially when some of them are now quite pricey too? ahaydock
Hmm, regarding looks for a AIO you really cannot go wrong. It is hard to compare as I only have really used a standard Dodo over a fully corrected car with a Glaze so as you can imagine with the prep being the key they look great.
