njadve
I bought some microfibre towels from Motorgeek that I got a couple of days ago. Now Ive been doing some carcare and they are all dirty. How do I wash these? I´ve heard that they shouldn´t be washed together with other kinds of towels. I have done that with some some older microfibretowels that is really poor today. Is it okay to wash these together with my brand new ones, or will that only ruin my new onese as well? And what temperatures is recommended, and should I use any kind of "soap" (couldn´t find any better word right now), or are they washed without? Thanks for all replies... Drinks
You can find everything you need here Wash with normal washing powder but do not use fabric conditioner. There are some proprietary MF wash solutions that you can use too.
steelwind101
Yup as drinks says. Avoid bleaches too as they tend to damage the microfibres and make them less plush. Drinks, did your forum friend get anywhere with the Atom petrol issue? Geoff
Drinks
Apparently he has tried everything that we suggested with no success, I don't think he ever got round to posting on Autopia though. A couple of atom owners took me for a jaunt today and looking at their cars it's a case of them all having the same problem.
dogbucket
I have always done mine in the washing machine when they are covered in wax/polish etc, but found the next few batches of clothes done afterwards come out with grease like spots on them. Misses was not too happy! I am guessing the wax etc stays in the machine for while afterwards somehow.
steelwind101
Hi, Is your washing machine set to Eco Mode? I had second washing machine and it would always do eco by default unless you pressed the button to say not to. It must not do a good clean afterwards or rinse. Main machine only has eco mode as something you choose and there isnt a problem. Geoff
