Blocked a/c drain hose

OK, wet feet when making turns suggests that the a/c evaporator drain hose is blocked, but I can't find where it comes out underneath so I can shove a wire up it.

When does this hose run?

It's a RHD car in the UK, if that makes any difference.

It's better to take the trim off as on audipages and shove some compressed air or water down there. The exits are either side of the gearbox and a bit far up.

The easiest way to do this is to take the trim off the tunnel in the footwells and access the drains where they go down through the floor pan. Here's how.

Hmmm, I was just expecting to see a tube underneath and to be able to poke a wire up, which is what I do on my Mazda.

Anyway, I'll start removing bits this weekend and see which left/right flips I need to do for a RHD car. Also, no compressed air here, so I'll see how a wire works and/or drive to a local tyre place once it's all stripped down.

OK, job now done, and only took an hour.

Things are different on RHD as the slide-out console section under the steering wheel needs to be removed (follow instructions as per changing ignition immobiliser sensor coil) and the driver's side footrest needs to come off, but the basic principle is all the same. It may be that in future I can do the RH (driver's) side with some trim in place now that I know where the tubes are.

I just blew the tubes clear using some 15mm OD plastic aquarium tube that fits inside the orange pipes rather nicely.

There was a lot of water under the carpets - they are still drying in front of the Aga.

I had same problem, and cleared these drains - then a month later I noticed still wet carpets - the answer was the drains in the bulkhead were blocked, under the pollen filter / air filter - pour water on windscreen and see if it accumulates around this area. For me, it was like an inch or see deep in there.

a few screws out and that lifts up and you can blow air under it using a tube attached to air gun and inserted into the standing water to clear some dead leaves etc -

you all is fine when water / rain lands on windscreen you should see water dripping from under wheel arches and sides of gearbox

this is on audipages too I think

Had the same as cheet - v wet on passenger side and had been that way for a while. Guess previous owner wasn't aware of the drains Air con drains are good as I get puddles after use under the car now and then, but the bulkhead drains were solid with crud. You can't get to the top of them, so poking something from the easily accessilble other end (under the wheel arch) is the best way. I found a tie wrap, lock end first worked well and then you can 'milk' the crap out.. missus (!)

Nothing to long and vigorous though as you will make un wanted holes in some nice black electronic boxes

Just watch out for the 'other' leak..

I checked all my drains and they're good, but there's a seal that can be a bit dodgy on the passenger side under the A/C pipes (at least that's what I think they are) near the ECU box.

Mine now has that ... It's like a hose when you acellerate away after sitting in the rain for a bit.

It's a doddle to fix, but a bugger to get to.

I've tried putting some pipe through the a/c pipe and blowing through it, as well as putting a small hose pipe through feeding water through the pipe, and the pipe is still blocked!

Does anyone have any other suggestions on how to unblock this pipe?
