csi_basel
Had the service light on recently so I booked it in at the local dealer. Got the bill this morning in the post. The bill included the brake service and also replacing the DSG oil and came to 460 pounds!! Wasn't really expecting it to be this high as the first service bill was only 220 pounds. On the plus side the DSG changes are now impeccable especially when going down the box quickly.
Cuprabob
I don't think the price you got was too bad. I understand that changing the DSG oil and filter alone can be circa £

How many miles have you done? I didn't get the gearbox oil changed on my second service but i'd only done about 18000 miles when it went in. Cuprabob
The recommendation is for the filter and oil to be changed at 40k miles. With variable servicing you can get as far as 38k miles at the 2nd service. My 1st service was at 18.5k miles and I'm expecting the 2nd to be around 37k miles
stooH
I got to 28k miles by my second service (variable) and it cost me £220. They did try and do me though. I asked the question, 'Do you take off the wheels to check the brake discs?' which I was told yes they do so I said in which case could you just cycle the fronts to the backs (as they're going to be off the car anyway) and they tried to charge be £15 for it, cheeky feckers. So I got them to take that off the bill.
csi_basel
How many miles have you done? I didn't get the gearbox oil changed on my second service but i'd only done about 18000 miles when it went in. The car had covered 49000 km when the service light appeared. Have to say that the brakes also are much stronger now so its all good though I wasn't expecting the extras on the bill. Doesn't help when you don't speak german...
