Sonya
The previous owner of my new (02 plate) A8 told us that there is only one ISOfix location in the rear of the car and the manual shows one. However, on closer inspection car seems to have fixings for both rear seats (the metal loops attached to platform, under the seat pad assembly, forward of the rear bulkhead). Does anyone know if this means we can fit two or are we looking at something different? Many thanks.
sloss
Hi Sonya, My 02 A8 has Isofix positions both sides as is required by law at that age of vehicle. They are sometimes a pain to get the legs to dog in properly as the seat cushion is a good fit.
Ska
Sorry I digress but I'll stick my neck out anyway: Welcome to TSN Sonya+++, am I right in assuming your the first lady member of the A8 forum on TSN? Or is my memory comparible to that of a gold fish?

Merlot
Hi Sonya,My 02 A8 has Isofix positions both sides as is required by law at that age of vehicle. They are sometimes a pain to get the legs to dog in properly as the seat cushion is a good fit. They were not required my law until fairly recently (2006 onwards IIRC). Some cars only have one side fitted if the owner did a retro as the holes are there on many cars built around that time but if it has two sides done I would think that it is a factory fit. PS Unless the owner had two young kids and had the 2nd side done?
