Battery emergency limit problems with A8

I have a 03 A8 that I polished and cleaned inside the other day. During this I used a lot of power and the battery meter on the MMI fell to 10%.

I drove a while to try to recharge the battery, but the meter didn't move.

Connected a batterycharger and charged for a few hours. Still no movement on the battery meter.

I also get the message "Emergency management at limit" sometimes when I start the car.

Startet searching the internet for help and found out that others also have experienced this problem. But I don't find any solution to it...

Can anyone help?

Could it be that your battery was on it's way out and that it can't recover from the drain that was put on it the other day? Could be worth taking to a motor factors and asking them to do a battery test.. I don't know what the bill for a new battery would be but that sounds likely to be honest.

Welcome to TSN

I've also seen some stories of the power management getting screwed when the battery gets too drained (especially if jump started wrongly). If I remember rightly there was a recall for them a while back , so it might be worth checking to see if yours was done.
