davyk31
Can someone give me some detail on how the electric memory seats work. I assume you can easily get the seat set and then save under number 1 and then let my wife sets her as button 2. This can be done by me i assume not needing the dealer to assist. Then does it work off the key so that it adjusts before either of us get in the car. does this mean we need to use different keys or how does it operate. Also does this key memory need to be programmed by the dealer or is this user programmed?
Biscuits
Hi, The keyfob and seat memory are kind of seperate things. Seats: With the engine running (or maybe just ignition on) move the seat to how you like it, press MEM button once, it lights up red, then press either button 1 or 2. The seat MEMory also stores the wing mirror positions. Keyfob: When you use a key, it remembers the position of the seats, air con settings and other stuff too I think. So if your wife wants different settings automatically set, then she'll need to use the spare key... set the seats how she wants them (for example MEM 2) and lock the car with the spare key.
