Nelson_R32
I've managed to come into a cheap 1995 Audi 80. 203000 miles but in stunning condition  Just wondering whats the best mix of biodiesel to use on the car?
shark_90
You'll probably need to change the fuel filter after you've run a bit of veg oil through as it will drag a load of crap off the bottom of the tank up into the filter. You should be perfectly OK running 100% veg oil but it's much heavier than diesel and it very gloopy in cold weather so either fit a tank/line heating system or start with 20% veg oil and see how you go. You'll probably burn the fuel pump out eventually though. Especially in the cold weather. And it will be VERY hard to start in a morning so I hope you have a strong battery in it! To be honest when I looked into it veg oil was £1.20 a litre from the cash and carry versus diesel at £1.30 so it wasn't really worth it unless you're going to filter waste oil. benjie
Yeah, prices have rocketed, but B100 from a petrol station should be fine... better than veg oil as it will bugger piston rings* if it's not very finely filtered * - Not sure if I have the right part, but it's something like that! Check on t'internet and see where your nearest b100 petrol station is. PD's can't do it though.
Tipex
Jon might be the one to ask on this subject, He knows a fair bit about Bio-diesel. He's Avant_b6_130 on here I think.
