steelwind101
Hello! With regard my post this week that i purchased P21s Red to deal with some issues on my Toyota MotorSport Alloys. As you will see they are light colour, close spokes and the sports pads throw ALOT of dust. They wheels were sealed with SRP and EGP and this makes it easy to wipe away most of the dirt. Im clocking up 17K a year in London traffic so my car is feeling the brunt of what the brakes can throw at it. Some brake dust got left on the wheels over the winter in the corners and it was to hard cold and to difficult to get at. I busted out weak acid wheel cleaners from Autoglym and Mothers, i tried P21s Green, i tried Bilberry, i tried clay, i tried tar remover! In this test im only cleaning the faces really as i had to photograph while cleaning! I had tools to help me, some Megs #62 in a warm water bucket. A hose, (not a pressure washer), EZ Wheel Brush, Fake Swissvax wheel brush. I rinsed the wheel to remove the light dusting from this week. Thats one weeks worth of brake crap. I sprayed the P21s Red on and aggitated it with before mentioned brushes. Left to sit for about 5 mins, reaggitaed and rinsed. In some photos i have rubbed away the weeks worth of dust to reveal the staining and seriously bonded brake dust so you can see what is "dust" and what is bonded. Really, if you have brake dust issues or you think your wheels are ruined prepare to see the light! Nothing more for me to say, accept this has no Acid in, smells like rubbish bins and looks like highlighter pen! Enjoy....satisfaction commeth! Last pic is of a different wheel but they were all pretty minced it was the just sun had moved for the final pics. The wheel is protected with EGP. Its £16.99 with free delivery from Performance Motorcare, you get a free sample of tyre dressing which i think is AWESOME and will post a review in a few mins! Tarmac_Terrorist
I'm going to have to put that on the wish list. My Beemer wheels are of a similar design and get the same crap in the same places! Very impressive stuff. They've come up like brand new. No curb marks either! How do you find durability of the EGP applied straight on to the wheel? I've heard that it ideally needs SRP under it to bond well and remain durable
steelwind101
Hi TT! Yeah i thought your BMW had similar wheels! I know you said the wife banned you from more products after your last purchase but we have all been there. You need to explain like i do, fancy waxes, glazes....ok so there luxery items i can wait. But shampoos, thats like hair shampoo, wheel cleaners thats like nail varnish remover, quick details; thats like hair spray. These are the comsumables and need replenishing at all costs! Plus the P21s Red comes with free the tyre shine for free (50ML)! On a serious note this was a great purchase and the wheels have come up so clean and so smooth. I doubt claying the wheels after using this would make much odds as it really does seem to melt anything on the wheels. No curb marks come at a cost! These tyres are funny a shape, in the second pic you might see a big lip, the alloy sits "inside" the tyre. They cost about £20-£30 more to replace last time i looked! If i go near a building site im always on the look out for nails and such! Geoff
steelwind101
I forgot your EGP question. It is much more durable with SRP underneath it however i apply EGP on its own too these backs as with or with out SRP the dust was getting stuck. I can get thru 6 weeks and they clean up pretty good with just SRP. I often QD them with i dry them using UQD.
Tarmac_Terrorist
Thanks Geoff - like the comparison to make-up etc! That wheel cleaner is on the list and will probably be a May puchase now! (just ordered 2 x megs polishing pads and a sheepskin mitt earlier this weekend! & 'her indoors' doesn't know!!) As that wheel cleaner is non-corrosive, would it be safe to use on my polished & lacquered alloys or would it be a bit too strong? I was thinking of only occasional usage, say every six months or so? Cheers Phil
steelwind101
Hi TT I think you would have to test it, but the green version is very versatile. Here is what the box instructions say (the only part in english!): Geoff

davyk31
can you post a link to this as their site has a few similar sounding products.
steelwind101
Hi DavyK I said on another forum, if you want the spounge, a spray head and the tyreshine sample then get the £16.99 kit, it has a 500ML of product. P21S PowerGel removes persistant contaminants with ease - FREE P&P @ Performance Motorcare Products Ltd The spray head is not anything special, say if you purchased a Poorboys spray product before then that spray is similar to what you get here. If you have spray heads and dont care for tyreshine then the 1000ml probably offers better value for money @ £20.99 P21S PowerGel - 1L refil removes persistant conaminants with ease - FREE P&P @ Performance Motorcare Products Ltd Geoff
davyk31
Just ordered the 500ml pack and also ordered an EZ wheel brush as I need a new brush. Thats another 40 quid gone on detailing products but of course they are essentials !
wyliss
Well I've plummed for this too ! Hopefully better than Bilberry. After all it is German !!!
Tarmac_Terrorist
I too was going to order some but realised that the free tyre shine is no longer free and a slight price rise too  Shame really, maybe another time.
steelwind101
Meh, i feel what your saying TT. It seems like alot of products seem to have one or two extra pounds added to them. A shame really as its keep peoples hands in there pockets. I could do with a few new MF drying towels, but every where wants an arm and leg for postage on some £10-£12 towels, so you think you will buy a QD to make it worth the order and they are charging £8-£9 for QDs that were only £6-£7 before. IT is a good wheel cleaner, i think you will be happy with Dibbs!

wyliss
Geoff whats the P21s like at looking after the LSP on the alloy wheel?. Does it strip say AG SRP/EGP or Poorboys WheelWax? I've noticed since I've stripped my wheels of the above LSP's that my wheels get really dirty and black within a few days !. Cheers
steelwind101
Hi! My bottle of tyre dressing was in the P21s box. You also seem to get something that suggest you get a free playboy something or the other. Though, my German did not extend to well acutally work out what it was. LOL. P21s Red will strip your wax, it will strip everything from the wheels! Its the kinda thing you would use every 4/6 months to get them really clean. Neither the green or red contain any acid, so you do need to let it work on the wheel for 5 mins or so for maximum effect! Geoff
