Audi A4 Cab - Sloshing noise?

Hi guys,

Very happy with cab motoring, 2.4 very smooth and quite possibly the most relaxing car to drive in the world...ever!

However, sometimes there is a sloshing noise from the passenger side dashboard and last week the was a wet patch underneath the car although no drop in engine/washer fluids.

Could it be water build up (rain) in some unaccesbile part of the chassis/ shell/frame?

Any thoughts?

Check there are no leaves blocking the drains on the sill under the windscreen inside the bonnet. There should be some drain holes visibile, but sounds like they may be blocked.

I drove a courtesy cab a while ago, I could hear the diesel sloshing around only once the fuel was down to about half a tank - do remember whisperings about some cab's having this problem .....

Yes!! I'm experiencing same water sloshing sound coming from near the passenger door too!? So is that what it is you say - the water drains need clearing under bonnet? thought it was something like that, will give that a go then, nice one!

I've got an A4 cab 2.4 v6 on a 52 plate, not had it long so bit wary about taking it apart if need be which is why thought better get an experts view. But other than that and my boot doors not shutting properly?? I'm lovin it!!?

Had this on my old RS4 - the drains were all blocked up with old leaves and stuff. Once cleared all fine

this is a common problem that everyone must check, there are two drain holes that get blocked, one is under the battery tray and the other is under the brake servo. if its full of gunk/water remove the rubber plugs in the drain holes. if you dont do this then water will build up then over flow into the ecu ending up with an expensive bill !
