Tarmac_Terrorist
I was recently reading about various different oil types. I see that Gulf have a new range of synthetic oils with the latest additives. I'm thinking of supplying my own next time i'm due a service. ludwig
T-T, it would be good if we could do this. When I was working in Germany, a long time ago, this was common practice i.e. supply your own oil. Presumably it is the same there now. Ludwig It's only in very recent years i've stopped doing this - only because the dealers are using fully synthetic oil now for most models, especially turbo charged engines. I'm not aware of any issues with supplying own oil. Warranty will be fine providing it's VW approved grade etc.
