Catching up with Nattys Red

Looks good! Is it still beading well and have you been topping it up with anything? Our Nattys-coated Corsa has been done for a month or so now and has been holding up well too, albeit with a bit of a reduction in beading. It's outside all the time though, so I suppose that's maybe not surprising! Last weekend I gave it a coat of Megs Ultimate QD (first go with that for me) after washing and it did seem to give it that bit of extra bling as you'd expect. Not sure if it's made any difference to the beading though, it's not rained since! :)

cheers

Hi

Thanks Al, no top ups on this car. I can normally expect about about 6-8 weeks before its really stopped beading very well. Nattys does have polymers in it so if you dont see the water on the car but it isnt "pooling" then its probably still doing its job!

The Ulimate QD should make more beads, as you said we havent had any rain either so i wouldent know how beading is this week! After shampooing you might find you get different beading as shampoo often leaves its own, though short lived protection.

If you do like the Nattys then you will probably like Poorboys QD+. It isnt a replacement for a wax but it does have a fair bit of protection in it and it does look like nattys!

Hi TT

Thanks! The Auris is not garaged, its done about 1700 miles since the first application. There are a few bug marks on the reverse side of the mirrors and the bumpers that will need to be taken care of when its time for a quick detail.

Summer starts soon? Its also on fathers day? What an excuse to get out there....!

I think Nattys waxes which start at about £11 are still some of the best value, nice looking waxes.

Hi Alfr

On my car i would probably just use something to strip any remaining wax. I probably only clay 1-2 a year.

You could easily put on another coat of Nattys over the exisiting coat if you want to. For me, i have lots of bug marks that need some bug cleaner on so i might as well just strip the wax from the whole car. If your car is still looking tidy put on another coat of wax straight on top of what is there.
