gargoyle666
Having finally got my car back in my hands a few weeks back now I'm starting to look around to see what exactly I can do to improve it. basically I'm wondering what performance modifications can I add on and what ones are the best value for money. the car is a 2003 D3 4.2 with really very few cool options, the luck of buying a demonstrator. So it will be performance first followed by whatever other mods I can afford to try and improve it's overall spec. any links to companies would be greatly appreciated as would any other advice. thanks
craigyb
I'm not 100% certain there are any great performance mods to the 4.2 petrols. There are some remaps that may gain between 10-15 BHP but not much more. The Diesels were far more tunable. MMI mods can be done.
gargoyle666
I realize NA engines don't have much in the way of increased bhp but what little can be done I'd like to hear about. remap would probably be first on my list. Is it something anyone who does VAG upgrades can do? is there any Exhaust upgrade I could do? I would love the quad setup, no idea what it would cost though. What differences are there between my standard engine and the 4.2 found in the RS models? Also what MMI upgrades are possible?
