gjlamb
I have a 2003 D3 that I had an issue with yesterday which I'm worried about. I was out driving round town all yesterday and on the way home, the EPC light came on. I was home for a few hours in the afternoon and went to start the car again and it wouldn't kick over. There was just a clicking sound from the engine and the EPC light was still on. I did a bit of searching round forums and found a procedure to do a Throttle Body Adjustment. I did this and the car started. The car has only just been serviced 2 weeks ago and all has been fine. I've started the car a few times since without problem. I have an interstate drive to do this week and hope that nothing major is wrong. Has anybody else had this problem and should I take it back to the mechanic before I go to get it looked at? Thanks in advance. Greg
audinutt
do you have a vagcom? sounds like it if you did a TBA.. Any fault codes found? ESP light can be a fault Mass Air Flow meter. -Richard
gjlamb
No, don't have VAG-Com. There was a sequence on Audi-Forums using the ignition and throttle press that did a full TBA.

gjlamb
Good question.....not sure. Will see if there is something on the battery to see how old it is. I haven't had the car very long. The battery in there was with it when I bought it. When I press the check button on the dash there is no error for the battery though. PsYcHe
The check system isn't that intelligent I had some problems recently and a new battery sorted them all.
