sermike75
Hi there, Just two questions: 1. What is the emissions of an Audi A4 B6 1.9 TDi 130ps 6-gear (11/2003)? It is Euro III or it fills the Euro IV standards? 2. Is it possible to retrofit a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF)? If yes what is the cost? Thank you. shark_90
I don't think it's Euro 4. Why do you want to retrofit a DPF? They don't work very well with the PD engines, so much so that on the PD170 a lot of people are having them removed in the UK.
benjie
That would be a lot of hard work for very little benefit. Those DPF's were a real hassle, so much so that VW produced a leaflet informing owners that if (when) they broke, customers would have to pay for it themselves! My favourite paragraph was the one that told the customer that when the DPF light came on, the customer must drive their car in 6th gear (or in Sport mode if Auto) until the light goes off. So in order to reduce emissions, we must drive more?! Not worth it, if you're desperate to reduce emissions, remove the 1.9PD and drop in a 3 pot 1.4PD!
