alexc
Hi,What makes Zaino a cut above the rest Alex? I was reading a few posts sometime ago and people rave about. It's not for everybody as the process can take time to apply due to the number of layers involved, but the results are amazing and the durability is excellent too. CarMad
I've been using Zaino Z5Pro for a good while and it beeds and protects for longer than anything else I've ever tried oh and it smells nice.
OGWT
I've been using this product for approx five years, its the most durable polymer I know of Zaino was voted the number one synthetic polymer sealant by an independent testing body (Guru Reports) its application process has a small learning curve, but once mastered the results are well worthwhile. This is the product I use for the preparation of concourse vehicles (or any vehicle that requires a durable ‘show car’ shine) Z-2 PRO™ provides 6-plus months of protection in even the most extreme environments. Z-2 PRO™ includes Ultra-Guard™ to protect against shrinking and fading caused by sun and ultra-violet light.
CarMad
Yeah I got it wrong its the Z2 that I've been using, got some Z5 last year to help take some of the swirls out or should I say fill a bit, will have to get some Z8 to see what that can do. alexc
Yeah I got it wrong its the Z2 that I've been using, got some Z5 last year to help take some of the swirls out or should I say fill a bit, will have to get some Z8 to see what that can do. Z8 is the icing on the cake, a spray sealant that adds the finishing touch to the process. It's also good for use in between washes to top-up the mile-deep appearance and offer added protection. steelwind101
These are good products but they can take time to be applied, if you want to see good durability (anything more then about 10-12 weeks) you will need to get the ZFX kit. It allows you to apply 3 layers in one session as well as strenghting the bonds with in the sealant. It isnt warm, it doesnt look like a wax but it does have a sharp, bright, high jetting looking. The product has almost no fill so make sure you do the right the prep and have an oil free finish to get the most out of the Z5 and Z2. I think the tyre gel is a good product, leaving a nice look. wyliss
Does the tyre gel last though Geoff ?. Alot of these products say that they last for weeks and one spot of rain and hey presto we are back to square one. I have Blackfire Tyre Gel and whilst it gives a nice appearance this is in the same category as the above. oh p.s. : Happy New Year ;-)
steelwind101
Happy new year to you too! I guess how long it lasts is down to how much you drive and the conditons. For me, mostly city traffic 1200 miles a month its mostly gone (destroyed by brake dust and road water etc) by the next weeks wash. But on the Mitsubishi it could sit outside for a week or two with light use and still look good. I have never found anything that acutally looks as good after the second was as it did when it was fresh/first week. I have resigned myself to reapplication every wash!
