Magic_Wond
I've got some Philips upgrade headlight & sidelight bulbs for my '97 A8 4.2 and would like to know how easy (or otherwise) it is to remove the existing bulbs and replace with the new ones. On my previous car this was a VERY fiddly job and a major pain in the neck (even had to take the front bumper off one car (a Chrysler) to get access after losing the retaining clip!). Any advice would be great.
TheBlueWhale
Hi, Have a look at this link from Audipages Some pics from my HID kit install. (kit link corrected) - AudiWorld Forums It's for upgrading to HIDs but has a procedure on how to remove the front lights.
Magic_Wond
Thanks for the advice, as it turns out the bulbs in the D2 A8 are a doddle to replace as access is easy and the retaining clips etc are not as fiddly as on other cars I have had. Haven't yet fired up the car at night to try out my new Philips X-treme Power bulbs but hopefully they will be an improvement over the standard bulbs.
