A4 B7 2005 Brake Calipers Rusting

I very much doubt it. I had a 2.0T for 6 months from new and the calipers were immaculate, almost a Hammerite finish. I then got another one and within another 6 months those ones looked ropey. I queried it not long after and they just shrugged basically.

There's nothing mechanically wrong with them so they'll not be interested. Best solution is to get them wire brushed and painted if it's really bugging you.

No idea, I left mine au naturale in the end

You can get proper brake caliper paint which is heat resistant and won't discolour but it can be a bugger to use as it's a 2 pack I think and goes off quite quickly which can be a problem if you can only take one wheel off at a time.

I'm sure people have used Hammerite (textured and smooth) and had no problems.

Like all painting though, preparation is all important and they'd need be nipping clean and completely degreased.
