pdh
Hi, I am new to the forum so please bear with me! I have an 06 BMW 320d that has recently had the ECU replaced due to water damage. I am now experiencing a problem- after driving about 100 miles or so the accelorator 'dies', and the engine settles back to tickover - there is no response from the accelorator at all. After about 2-3 mins and re-starting the car it seems to work for a couple of minutes before dying again. I am guessing a sensor problem when the engine gets hot although no fault is recorded on the ECU and no engine management lights come on? The problem appears to rectify itself overnight and as a result a BMW specialist has found no fault with it. Unfortunately now the car seems to have problems starting unless warm as well? Hoping someone can help.
cruiser647
Hello PDH! Welsome to TSN! Are you sure it's not a Toyota........... Sounds like the BMW Specialist will need to keep the car running and drive it a for a while plugged in.
