MunMan
Hi Guys, is there a switch to alter the headlights to UK/Europe driving, for a 2002 D2 with Xenons. Mine is a German car so it would be very useful to be able to switch over when in the UK especialy in the winter!
sgtstrev
my 1998 d2 has the lever behind the cover you remove to gain access to the bulbs . In between the high beam and dip light reflectors you should see the lever . just pop it up or down

Tipex
If thats the case, once 3 years old, any car with 'Xenon Plus' should fail it's MOT for not having the correct headlight pattern?

Totally agree its illogical.... The xenons have a lever to move it from right hand to central, so although its not perfect for driving abroad, it doesnt dazzle the foreigners... The Xenon pluses are unadjustable and apparently dont need it... I do little driving abroad, let alone at night so I've not lost any sleep trying to comprehend it !! PsYcHe
I think the Xenon Plus units don't have the 'flick' up to the left, so don't need it.

Thats the thing though, to pass an MOT, they should have the flick up to the left, as it's the beam pattern for UK cars. My Skoda had the lever which masked the 'flick' but didn't make them LHD. Goz
I think my 2001 S8 probably has xenon plus as well? last year I went to Switzerland and searched desperately for 15 minutes on the ferry (so much for preparation) trying to find the little red leaver like in the user manual. In the end I broke the anti-condensation cap and gave up.
MunMan
Mine is Left Hand Drive and the lights are directed to the right on dip, although I never get flashed for this it is difficult on wet country lanes to pick out the left hand side edge if speeding a tad!
