drumstick
I am new to this car and have been driving quite reservedly. No I am getting used to handling and power I have tried seeing what the car is capable of. When I put my foot down and give it some the ESP and ABS lights come on the dash board. Is this normal or should I get a diagnostic check on it. Can any one help?
cruiser647
Sounds about right - ESP and ABS lights on. You are shoving 300+BHP through it. It's bounds to chirp the tyres a bit. Especially if it damp. Turn the ESP off and see what happens (in a controlled area though and be careful when you do!!)
Chick
check your tyres too, used to only get this "problem" when tyres reaching minimum legal levels!
drumstick
Thanks for the info. Tyres Have plenty of tread left on them. Will knock off the ESP and have a play with it. Will report back soon. Cheers
drumstick
Hi there, lights are still coming on. Turned off ESP and booted it, abs came on not flashing at about 4700 rpm and goes out as I slow down, just the same as when ESP is on. Some guy recons I should reset the ecu by disconnecting the batt terminals and touching the - and + leads together for about 10 mins Any one got any ideas about doing this
PsYcHe
Don't know if I'd do it that way. Have you got access to anyone with VAG-COM. You might have a dodgy ABS sensor or issue elsewhere.
