Deckard
Hi guys....I know I shouldn't have fiddled but I've managed what looks like setting the car up for LHD. When I open the driver's door the passenger door graphic lights up. Mileage is now in kilometers and the fuel consumption is now in litres/100KM. I feel such a tit for getting this wrong :o:o What do I need to do fix it? I'm using an ebay cable with VAG-K+CAN 1.4 program from Hong Kong The only modules I was aware of fiddling with were 07 (Kombi) and MMI Cockpit although I've a feeling it's something in 07 I've buggered around with Any help will be gratefully accepted cheers D Edited August 25, 2010 by Deckard
Deckard
The program I used is VWtester and I'm *SURE* I pressed the Coding button whilst in ECU 07 and I changed the code to '1' from whatever it's meant to be!?!?!?
PsYcHe
Yep.. I did something similar Can't remember the actual coding, as VCDS gives you the hints. Where are you located? Maybe someone local will be along soon.

Deckard
I've just realised there's a dedicated VAGCOM forum so I've repeated the request over there http://www.tyresmoke.net/forum/vag-com/128164-audi-a8-help-needed-ive-changed-my-country-setup.html#post1504125
PsYcHe
Deckard - I was passing through Dundee on the way to Aberdeen yesterday as well. Did we previously have a conversation about helping you and you were stuck at a desk? Or was that someone else? You free on Monday?

ollya
Sorry, I know this is an old post, but any chance Deckard (or anyone else) could post the solution please? I've gone and done the exact same thing and set my coding to 1, and everything is in LHD mode. I guess I just need to know the original coding for a 2004 UK A8 or another method of getting it back. Cheers
Deckard
Hi there - I used one of the cheap Chinese ebay cables with doen't work with the official Vagcom software. Using the software that came with the cable I changed to code to 16443 - you might need to add 00 to the front ie 0016443...can't remember:o This sorted out my 2004 UK A8 hope this helps mate Deckard
