byron13
OK another question for you please - virgin BMW owner - The Mrs has just got a 2007 325i touring and just got back her iPhone (after losing it!!) The new car has in the armrest a usb socket and a cradle (snap in???) Want to connect up the iPhone to the car so that it reads all the phone functions and ipod functions and still be charging without using bluetooth if poss?? I am vaguely told by BMW they have a snap in adaptor that costs about £10 that does this? Quick google shows a mounting plate that the iPhone connects to in the armrest?? Is this correct? Google seems to be much more than £10 though? Does anyone know exactly what I need and it poss a part number?? Many thanks
davyk31
The cradle will be much more than £10, more like £50 to £60 available from your dealer.
byron13
Yeah been looking into this and the cradle just charges and acts as an antenna for the phone, it's the BMW adaptor y cable that plugs into the aux and usb sockets that does the music menu bit, phone functions work fine on bluetooth. Still looks like £30 plus pounds but as long as I know hat it does will get it!! Ta
