jimbob
Do audi have any reccomendations on brake fluid? Failing that what do board users use? I'm replacing rear caliper on 95 4.2 d2 after i found mine seized. I'm assuming that any 4 dot would do but wanted to double check before i go ahead and buy. I would try the caliper seal kit but it's been a couple of weeks now and i miss driving. Thanks in advance guys.
jimbob
Oh yea. If anyone knows how much the system holds I'd also appreciate that too. Thanks again.

jimbob
Audi area: Audi A8 Brake Bleeding Thanks Psyche. I actually found this link this morning, It's an idiots guide to changing brake fluid(which is exactly what i need). I've got a re-conditioned caliper coming tommorrow and after market discs and pads from some company called Mintex. Pretty cheap but it should get me on the road and quality looks good. I might even be able to crack a smile by the end of the week.
PsYcHe
Bunch of rip-off gobsh*tes! That guy has ripped off PaulW who runs audipages.com and supplies that info FOC. If you can do them yourself, then good on you.. I can replace a caliper and bleed it, but a full system, you're as cheap going to a local garage. jimbob
Lol. Your not wrong. The whole time i was looking at that i thought it was audi pages. He's not even changed the photos from the audi pages articles. I wish i had taken the car to the garage, but i promised myself if i got the 8 i'd work on it to keep costs down and learn as i go. I cant really afford the audi but i couldn't resist it either. Any sign of snow up your way yet? I've been looking forward to it since i got the 8 in august. PsYcHe
No snow here yet (though there is on the hills)... Quattro is fun in the snow, but you don't stop any quicker than a normal car so be wary.

I've got a massive "to do" list on the 8 to keep me busy but its great just being road worthy again.
