Which Crossover ?

We looked at Volvo's before we bought the RX Garcon, and one thing that came to light online was that the whole range was riddled with build quality issues. Of course that was 3 years ago and it may well have changed now, but that whole range had a terrible reputation for back-to-dealer problems. They were known for a high number of rejected cars too.

It just seems a frightening amount of money for a mini SUV. All be it one that's better looking than its big brother. (Not hard...)

Expensive it may seem but relatively speaking, it's not too bad. You can get a 4WD Qashqai up to 27k quite easily for example and that's hardly comparing apples with apples.

That's one thing with the special edition - extra kit without the full options cost.

I would suggest a Volvo XC60, but they're not far off price-wise and I can't see them holding up in value. Nice looking car though.

Lookign at reiduals the Q5 seems to be superb and the Volvo looks dated worth a test drive for comparison though.

Like many of their competitors, a good example of cars creeping up and up in price.

It not just creeping either - just specced our Allroad on the Audi site - comes in at a smidgen over £47k!!! - we paid less the £37k 18 months ago - that's just crazy - sure you'll get a discount on list but no more than £4k. And I got 1.0% interest over 4 years. The real cost of the same car including finance has probably increased 20-25% over a year and a half...
