DHA
Probably I just imagined this, but I seem to recall Porsche doing an upfront payment for the servicing costs on a new car like BMW/Audi now offer. Did I just imagine this?
NewNiceMrMe
I've been into JCT 600 at the Silverlink in Newcastle this morning and spent half an hour talking to a guy in there. He didn't mention it and I've never known of them offering it, but I could be completely wrong. They have a lovely 4S in there that I went to look at but when I got there I discovered it had a manual box (which I should have spotted on the site in all honesty). My eyes were then taken by this baby. Yum. Too much and too soon and not my colour, but it does look lovely in the flesh. Why didn't Santa bring me this
eldavo69
I don't believe they do a servicing plan either. MrMe - the PCGB meeting in (April I think) is at the OPC as they will have "something" special in apparently. You also get a good poke about as well as fed and watered too, will give you a shout when I know the date.
NewNiceMrMe
Hmm, I must admit I'm not really a fan of those types of things cos I like to do all my prodding and poking when a dealership is quiet. I went to a BMW event at a dealership and left after about 5 minutes because I couldn't bear all the bloody false smiles and 'Ooo darling, look at that jeep' type people - not to mention the feckwits who were poring over M cars asking the type of question that anyone who was interested would know to begin with (such as "what size engine is it" and "what insurance group is it"?). This morning was very quiet, in fact I was the only one in there. There is a stunning Bentley Flying Spur thingy parked outside too. Jesus that's a big thing. It was like a lounge inside it. DHA
Must have imagined it then. There goes my Christmas fancy of a Cayenne Turbo That 997T looks nice in red, I like the rarer colours on them.
Rachel
My eyes were then taken by this baby. Yum. Too much and too soon and not my colour, but it does look lovely in the flesh. Why didn't Santa bring me this "not my colour"- pfft. When you're inside driving it at 10/10ths you won't care what colour it is...
eldavo69
MrMe - you've got the wrong end of the stick. This is after hours specifically for Porsche Club GB members. There'll be about 20 people there, who know more than you, and the car park will look even better with some of their toys. Free reign of both dealerships and it's run by the service department not the sales department, so they're nice too!
NewNiceMrMe
I just don't do red cars any more. I've owned 2 in the past in my younger days and I'd only ever buy a Ferrari in red now. I don't doubt most people would know more than me about Porsches, in fact my knowledge on them is very limited indeed and is much more personal opinion than fact. If it's a Club thing then maybe that's a bit different. I'll have a think about it but I'm not really an owners club type person these days.
