masterff
Hi, was wondering if anyone knows whether these sensors can be permantly disabled ( is there a fuse for them ) reason I ask is one of the sensors on the front of mine has become faulty ( 01627 fault code : Front Mid Right ( G253 ) it says using my VAG5053 Tool. I managed to clear this fault last year and it worked fine up until 2 weeks ago, when I engage reverse the light for enabling / disabling the front sensors flashes there is a a warning beep and it's cocking up the reverse sensors as they don't seem to work with this fault. I wanna sell this car but would like to get the back sensors working, can this be done does anyone know? Cheers.
ainarssems
They are not all that expensive just buy a new sensor
masterff
it's not a question of the cost of the part, it's a question of fitting it, does anyone have a PDF guide showing how to remove and fit a new sensor for the front? Cheers.
TIDYDUBS
Get you with yer VAS 5053.........where you steal it??? LOL obsolete i believe now but i believe its grille off or complete bumper cover off. It should be clipped into the bumper cover/grille. No fuse but what type of fault does it say exactly....open circuit......short to B+??????
PsYcHe
You could disconnect the front loom from the unit at the rear.
briang9
I think back and front work together, I recently had a faulty rear one and the front would not work properly because of it, its not that much to get replaced, mine cost me around £140 including paint, fitting and vat cheers
