vwgirl
Hi, I dont know much about cars but I know what my V6 feels like to drive and ever since I got it back from its service a few weeks ago (which cost me over £700!) it feels like I'm driving a different car. It seems to have losts its power and oomph. If I try to overtake, normally I fly by no probs but at the moment I struggle to get from 50 to 60 with any power at all,in fact when I hit 50 it feels almost like it is pulling back on me if you know what I mean. It needed a lot doing in service, inc 4 new tyres, new brake pads and discs, front and rear. It should be driving well at that cost but it doesnt feel like my VW any more! Any ideas on why anyone? Help! Thought I'd seek advice before I go back to garage...

vwgirl
It is a 2.5 TDI V6 engine. It is getting worse, it almost feels like it could stop when I hit 50! Have been looking up info on MAF on internet as wasn't sure.
TIDYDUBS
Right you need to check make sure it is the air mass meter first, which is more than likely. Disconnect and it should improve on those im sure of it. BUY a GENUINE airmass not an after market you will be wasting your money trust me on this. Vagcom it see if any faults are apparent check the measure values on acceleration. The one other thing i have had on those is if there is a fault relating to turbo or something like that, then the breather NOT the turbo will need to be replaced in the centre of the VEE. The general set up on these is still pretty basic
