Browner_28
Hi. I have recently acquired a Z4 Coupe 3.0si as my daily driver and on the whole I love it. Fantastic engine, lovely shape etc. However, i'm quite keen to sharpen the chassis a tad with some new bushes and possibly a replacement suspension set up. The main reason i'm posting is to see if anyone out there has done anything similar and with good bad/results? Finally, I like the sound of the Quaife LSDiff as this would address one failing of the car. Has anyone gone down this route on any BMW?? The reviews seem positive. theduisbergkid
Hi and welcome to Tyresmoke. The bushes do wear out in no time, I've heard every c.30k miles on our potholed roads. I'd look at doing those first before chucking loads at a suspension change. You're no on runflats are you ? They also have a detrimental effect on ride. If you're in the Midlands I can recommend a great BMW Indy who I use, he'll give you the options (and costs).
Browner_28
Yeah im based in Cheltenham so Midlands not a prob. Simpson Motorsport's not far from me but any others would obvs be great to know. To be honest i'd agree with you about the suspension, if I ever do that it'll be because i like tinkering and not really out of necessity. But some stiffer bushes would help a lot I think. No, the runflats have gone. My previous car was a Mini Cooper S Works with runflats so any car from now on will ride like a Jag in comparison. However the open diff really doesnt suit the car and at about a grand the Quaife option seems reasonable. Just noticed there's a BMW area on here, oops!
