aero-mandolin Posted January 23, 2011 Report Share Posted January 23, 2011 The central LED brake light on my 2007 A4 Cabrio has a loose contact but I can't work-out how to get the trim off the boot lid so I can get to it. billington Posted January 26, 2011 Report Share Posted January 26, 2011 From 'Elsawin', with some additions by me, learned when I was looking for the broken aerial lead.... Removing: – Remove the hazard warning triangle if provided. – Unscrew the bolts (2x). (Behind the triangle) – Detach the hazard warning triangle holder. – Detach the lock cover. (Just prise it off with a screwdriver) – Slacken off the bolt in the pull-down handle Unfasten boot lid trim at clips (12x). Again, gently prise the trim panel off with a screwdriver, after the first couple of clips you will be able to see where you are going. – Detach boot lid trim. Refitting is the same in reverse. billington Posted February 14, 2011 Report Share Posted February 14, 2011 Yes, Elsawin is useful, more so that a Haynes manual I think and a lot cheaper. I actually bought two versions on Ebay, the first would not open any of the diagrams, the second worked perfectly and included a parts list. Glad the job went ok.
