Bargain Hunt blooper

Probably not many of you watch Bargain Hunt on daytime TV, but today it was on in the background and I heard something, so I had to rewind to make sure what I had heard....

Tim Wonnacot was with one of the teams and their expert Catherine inspecting a set of silver sugar tongs or "nips" as Tim referred to them as they were quite petite.

So then Tim turned to camera and announced....

"Let's see what the auctioneer thinks of Catherines small nips"

To which the the team and the whole crew fell about laughing.

I often find myself watching Bargain Hunt in the background if I work from home (rare these days, but occasional).

That Tim bloke is nowhere near as bad as Dickinson was for inuendo. I swear he used to look for every possible

opportunity to get in there with a cheap jibe. I recall an episode a while back (a re-run) when a Mother and Daughter were on the show and Dickinson clearly had the hots for the Mother. At one point when they went looking around some stalls they came upon an old coal scuttle thing. I can't remember how he got to the line, but he managed to say "<Mothers name> doesn't need a scuttle, you've still got the embers burning well haven't you darling.".

I remember there was an gay couple on Bargain Hunt once and they bought something related to ornithology (can't remember what - binoculars or something). Anyway Wonnacot's response was something along the lines of "Well, I would never have guessed that you were a pair of bird watchers..."
