pat27
I have a friend who has a 2005 A4 Cabriolet with the Multitronic Gearbox .At 35,000 miles he had big problems engaging gears etc -plus the car sounded like a bag of spanners1 He had it diagnosed by an independant Garage who sid that the box wanted reconditioning. He then took it to the Audi main dealer who diagnosed the same. After some negotiation Audi UK offered a 50% contibution to Labour but was told that it would still be between £3000-£4000. I suggested he took it to the above as I was aware that they had an Audi Master Technician- after diagnosis they decided that the ECU had failed - they replaced it and the car drives like new plus the total bill was less than half of what Audi where going to charge. I have just taken my A8 to them (Its always been to the main dealer) for a Gearbox oil change and their service was great-plus it saved me about £200! Thanks Guys
