I've just had the Gearbox Oil changed on my D3 - I obtained the oil which cost me £130 including postage (Latest ZF Oil) and they cahnged it for £60-The box runs much smoother now. The reason I took the car to them is that one of the Guys is an Audi Master Technician and knows what hes talking about when it comes to Audis! pat27 Posted January 26, 2012 Author Report Share Posted January 26, 2012 I spoke to ZF Gears who recommended lifeguard 6 on my particular model. I ordered the oil from JP (automatic Transmissions) Ltd. 01934 852772 total cost including delivery was £113.70 . On the advice of both ZF and Autotechnica I did not use a filter,as they both suggested that it was only really necessary if the Gearbox was being rebuilt.
