18ME
I'm going to look at a 7 year old 3.0tdi A8 later and concerned that if I buy it that it'll be expensive if/when things start going wrong being at a certain age now. So thought about buying a third party warranty which I've never done before, can anyone recommend a company? I remember Tesco offering this a few years ago but I think they've stopped it haven't they?

Tipex
I can't imagine a warranty will be cheap for that type of car at that age, if anyone's even willing to cover it? It's a minefield of problems (expensive ones) just waiting to happen!
18ME
I was hoping that someone knew about the various warranties as it looks very confusing as to what they will cover and if certain ones are better at paying out when a problem does arise. snapdragon
Warranty Direct are supposed to be the best, but fewer items are covered as age and mileage passes certain points. After 120,000miles, they don't want to know.
18ME
I did get a quote from Warranty Direct for £500 ish using a non franchised dealer and £715 for a franchised but I don't think that covered things like the sat nav, electric seats etc. I might just go for that one and hope nothing happens to the nav etc. Warranty Direct are supposed to be the best, but fewer items are covered as age and mileage passes certain points. After 120,000miles, they don't want to know.
