News_Stig
There are various songs mentioning the number 99. Hopefully these 99 will not be problems as it finally sees the light of day! Spanish start-up supercar maker GTA has brought its final production version of the GTA Spano to the Goodwood Festival of Speed to take part in the Michelin Supercar Run. The Spano has been almost a decade in the making. The latest evolution of the production car was first seen at the Geneva motor show in March, and it will now receive its dynamic debut at its first UK appearance at Goodwood. The mid-engined, rear-drive Spano uses an 8.4-litre supercharged V10 engine with a reported 900 bhp and 737 lb ft of torque. It is said to be able to sprint from 0-62 mph in just 2.9 sec and reach a top speed of 217mph. Weight is kept down to 1349 kg thanks to a monocoque constructed from carbonfibre, Kevlar and titanium honeycomb, and carbonfibre bodywork. Stopping power is provided by carbon-ceramic disc brakes. Production of the GTA Spano is set to be capped at 99 units. It costs around £650,000 before taxes.
