Saw one of these the other week.

 

A lot smaller than the 5GT.  The difference between them was/is much bigger than the difference between a normal 3 and normal 5.

 

I wasn't that impressed, but I know many on here will like them

It's a very odd shape. Reviewed in this months EVO in 328i form. They don't like it - the estate is more desirable and handles better.

Speaking of which.  I saw a 63 plate 320i Tourer on the way into the office this morning.  In white.  Looks very nice indeed in that colour.

I'm going to look at one, more rear space than a 5 series saloon and some has got a poverty spec one at work and it is ended rather spacious.

But I could equally get a 3 touring or even a 5 GT, my buying criteria has someone changed with a couple of kids to ferry about.

If you are considering a 3GT, its only a few cm shorter than the 5 series Touring, and there are some blinding deals on those right now

£5k off 530d without asking at the moment plus extremely cheap finance deal to boot.

Third party market has some brilliant contract hire deals as well such as 520d with full service plan (tyres included), 15k miles pa at £589 per month inc vat with 3 months down as deposit.

It is all about registrations for manufacturers at the moment. Profit seems very much secondary.
