This time with much less of the WW II destroyer mono disguise The facelifted BMW X3 has been spotted testing for the first time. Expected to launch in 2014, the revised compact SUV will reportedly be launched at the same time as the new BMW X4, with which it shares its wheelbase. That car has also recently been spotted testing, with its design revealing that BMW has stayed close to the concept shown at the Shanghai motor show earlier this year. This test mule was spotted in Munich, with camouflage around the front and rear bumpers as well as the side sills. BMW has yet to reveal pricing or engine options for the facelifted model, although a range of powertrains similar to the current lineup is expected. That means an entry-level 1.8-litre diesel developing around 143 bhp and 265 lb ft of torque alongside a 2.0-litre dies el developing 184 bhp . A 3.0-litre diesel available with either 258 bhp or 313 bhp is likely to top off the range. As with the current X3 lineup, an M Sport version is also expected. Prices for the current entry-level BMW X3, the sDrive 18D, start at £28,970. The new BMW X3 will be built alongside the X5 and the X6 at BMW's Spartanburg factory in the US.
