Prodrive question

Recommended Posts

First post here chaps, so be gentle!

Im looking to buy a WRX STi (brand new or close to it) in the summer... what i wanna know is, what the prodrive pack consists of exactly??

I mean, i know the STi is 265bhp and the prodrive is around 300ish, but what else u get for ur cash? better brakes? lower suspension etc??

Cheers! 169144-ok.gif

AFAICR uprated springs and dampers, better noise due to exhaust and cats, reprogrammed ECU, you could get more power for less money but you'd lose your Subaru warranty (one of the best) and so the PPP makes a lot of sense. Brakes are 4 pot Brembo's so I don't think they are uprated with PPP like they needed tobe on the P1.

If I was planning to get an STi 7 or 8 it would have to have PPP.

If you are buying new have you thought about a WR1, come with 320bhp and 300lbs/ft as standard and this does have uprated brakes and is a signifigant improvement over the STi, even with PPP.

Thanks for the reply..

Yeah id love a WR1, but they just too much right now... ive seen brand new un registered STis for 20999, and second hand PPPs for around 21/22k mark, with next to no miles, so that will do me for me first scooby cool.gif

By the way, ne one know if its ok to buy a 6month old scooby and take on the remainder of the 3 year warrenty? i see most places say u get the balence of it... but i wondered if subaru actually dont tie it to the first owner?? ie. are they really transferable from owner to owner? confused.gif
