Ers
I love the look of the R32 rear end and would like to fit the twin exhausts to my GT TDI. Do any of you know if it is possible. Cheers
Ritey
To get a working dual exit like the R32 I "believe" some serious boot panel work has to be done to fit the boxes under the car
lionheart
(Almost!) Anything is possible... It just comes down to HOW MUCH you really want it!!
Ers
I don't really want to start cuting and bashing panels. I was hoping I could just change the rear bumper and stick the r32 exhaust in. Cheers guys
mb
The rear panel is definitle cut away to make room (why we can't tow anyone...) so I wouldn't bother if I were you. That said the panel just looks as if it was cut off by a monkey with an angle grinder so it wouldn't be too hard to replicate a factory quality job ! IMHO the 2 zorts are the worst aspect of the car - though I am sure most will disagree !
mb
also don't forget the Hadex may make alignmnet different on an not AWD Golf ?
Gti_Fly
You can fit an R32 exhaust to a 2wd golf, but it does involve completely cutting away the spare wheel 'well' to allow for the backbox. This modification has been done by a guy on the uk-mkivs.net forum.
