Woo hoo! I don't know anything, but if it's true I'll be happy - about 5 weeks ago I was offered £10k for a 2 year old ultra-low mileage 1.6 SE with met, A/C, DIS, RPS and winter pack. Perhaps I'll be able to push for more now.

I figure that as you can no longer buy new 1.6 A2s, they might hold used value slightly better for a while.

The thing is that the A2 is an excellent car - but it isnt worth the new money, I wanted a new A2 and the spec I wanted came to nearly £22k!!!!!!

As a second hand car they are fantastic, and I think prices now reflect this, I know my own A2 (which was a 1.4 petrol) and I ran it for a short period of time and lost nearly no money on it, and looking at the used ones they seem to be selling quickly now as well.

Yes prices are rising rapidly, fortunately there is a bargain used A2 in the marketplace at the moment. If you are quick, you just might catch it.............

buy now before it's too late........

Does anyone know how Audi tune the 1.4 TDi A2 to 89-90Bhp? Our A2 is the 75bhp Model, I have tried to chip with a Plug-in Module (cost £10)that gives around 15-20ps Increase. The performance difference is staggering, The fuel consumption is better though it somkes a bit more, which is worrying !

Any Suggestions?

As a matter of interest.......

Originally specified the car RRP New was £20,750 Before Dealer Discount.

Options Factory Fitted Include

*Sport Pack

*Winter pack

It was Originally bought By some bloke for his Mrs and she did not like it ! I bought it for my wife of my Sis-in-law who ran it for 6 months.

Purchased October 2004 15 months old 7k on the Clock for £10,750 (dealer had only offered <£10k SKF Audi Stockport)Maybe I Should have smashfreakB.gif her down some on the price.

That link is quite amazing - 20bhp in a Normally aspirated car, all for less than a tenner - Yeah right.

Most of these are as he dscribes a resistor that basically fools the car into over fuelling, so oyu have no account taken of potential consequences or different fuelling for different engine speeds / air temps or anything like that.

But you get what you pay for and I am sure as 'drag racers use it' they only expect their engines to last a race at a time, so guess its ok for them.

at nearly £1 a liter for fuel in the audi will hold its value well from 3-4 years old. At 50% road tax, low insurance and an easily capable 50-65mpg the TDi is a sure fire winner surely? On the continent and indeed in germany the range is still quite broad with 1.2 & 1.4 Tdi engines, 1.4 petrol and ASG Gearboxes!
