Wonder if anyone knows if they are a straight swop for the standard A4 ones? I'm pretty sure I'm right in saying that they must be worth some extra top end torque/power and of course reliability with a good custom re-map. Just look at Oettingers figures.

Depends what year car and whats all ready fitted? There are 2 main type and these have different mounting lengths. Fitting older injectors to a late car is possible but you have to space the injection rail away as the older injector is longer.

Also most of the Higher power engine use a different fuel pressure regulator. this alters the fuel pressure in the rail and can adjust how much fuel is supplied into the engine.

What injector you fit you will have to have the car remapped to suit.

Right, for the record the late cars have a 'Returnless' fuel system. The pressure regulator is in the pump/filter assy in the tank. So not a option frown.gif

I've now sourced some S3 injectors - BOSCH NO' 0280 156 063.

They are the grey ones on the right - a straight swop.

Is that an Oettinger inlet pipe ?

Why did you go for Star rather than Oettinger's chip?

Are you near to me ( Bracknell) - might ask for a quick ride in it !

Yes it's Oettinger (£500 blush.gif) before you ask! wink.gif

I went to Star because I'd read good things about what they'd done and can do. Also when I first spoke to Jim I found him very helpful and professional. At first they didn't have the code for the latest A4 ECU's ,a problem I know other tuners have had too. As soon as Jim got the latest "Dual System" box he sent it down to try.

I'm going up to see him on the 1st July to fit the larger injectors and have the map tweaked to suit - a service RSD can't offer.

I called RSD about having them supply only the 230bhp map when Jim was waiting for the crack for my ECU and they NEVER called back. Bit rude when I'd shelled out £500 for an intake that I had to buy extra hose to fit properly mad.gif

Also RSD only offer a flash program of the ECU , not a switchable box , another bonus for Star 169144-ok.gif

The DualSystem was £575inc which IMO is Pretty good when you see what AMD are charging for OneClick ( It's the same box )and what RSD charge for just a Re-Map!

I'm very happy with the result at the moment and can't wait the see the car on the rollers at Star 169144-ok.gif

I'd be happy to meet up sometime for you to have a ride beerchug.gif

I'm in Epsom
