Right I've finally got VAGcom, a couple of questions for a sanity check:

As I understand it having a 1997 A8 means I shoudn't have any problems connecting to the airbag control module as the light came on the other day when I removed the rear seat for a bit, so I want to reset it.

Also how or where is the link on how to reset the service reminder?

I'm scared dung.gif that I might turn the A8 into a vegitable crazy.gif is that a real threat; I mean so long as I stay in the basic functions and aviod the advanced funtions of VAGcom then all should be fine, yes? grin.gif

I was expecting the airbag codes and have removed them and turned of the red light because I had removed the rear seat for a while.

Am I to assume that the central locking codes came up because the drivers door was open during the scan?

The engine codes are a bit of a mix the engine was not started during the scan is that why I have the O2 sensor code and will it clear automatically. The TB setting prob/codes have been their for a while even though I have replaced the TB for a new one. and last but not least the power supply code whats that about?

Cheers sorry for all the Q's at once grin.gif

Doh! smashfreakB.gifI read this as far as the full activation goes:

The KEY-PRO interface has build in Dongle, no software activation required. It also has dual PC interface, USB and serial on in one unit.

But all the other questions about the codes still stand, cheers.

1,Power supply is just the battery been disconnected at some stage,

2,Have you carried out Basic setting, from when you changed the throttle body? Proberly not that why that code is there.

3,Lambda sensor (bank 1)(pre cat) is not working correctly all the time,

The Central con codes.

Are just the alarm has been set off during scans, Just clear them and all will be fine!

Is there a database of codes somewhere or is that in the bentley manuals?

When the TB was changed I took the car to AMD but they couldn't set the adaption using their Diag. tool. The one that slightly worries me is the lambda sensor;

Address 01: Engine

Controller: 4D0 907 551 C

Component: 2.8L V6/5V MOTR AT D07

Coding: 04153

Shop #: WSC 00000

3 Faults Found:

18010 - Power Supply Terminal 30: Voltage too Low

P1602 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent

17967 - Throttle Body (J338): Fault in basic settings

P1559 - 35-00 - -

<font color="red"> </font> 16518 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor B1 S1: No Activity

P0134 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent

Readiness: 0000 0100

Can you help on this? Does it mean its truely knackered or can it be ignored? but surely if it had packed up the car would be coughing all over the park? And surely "No Activity" means theres no flow rate throuh the manifold as the engine isn't started... hopefully SAUER0421.GIF

I'm sure there is a way to check if its working correctly using the VAG but don't know how frown.gif

The car seems to drive fine. (Touch wood)

Cheers 169144-ok.gif

It does say its intermittent, what you have to determin is how often it happens. To do this you would clear the fault codes, take it for a drive then recheck it. If the code is back you will need to do something about it, if not dont worry about it and recheck again in a week or so.

I should think the car will be able to sort itself out without a value from the lambda sensor, it will proberbly revert back to an expected figure and go by that, so you may not even notice.

  • 3 years later...

Hi, please bear with me as this is my first post on the forum.

I have just bought a 2.8 30V sport and it seems to have a bit of a miss fire, I too am getting the old

18010 - Power Supply 30: Voltage too low P1602 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent.

I am getting no other faults but this one, I have reset with my newly purchased VAGCOM, but this error keeps coming back.

Would this be causing the misfire and how do I fix it???

Also the car seems quite bouncy on any road surface, is there something inherent with the sports suspension?

The car has done 132000 miles, but for an Audi surely this is "Just run in"

Please can anyone help me as these two problems are driving me mad...

:ffs:
