brownswood
Hi if there's any musical people on here i am selling my beloved korg triton. The sampling memory has been upgraded 16MB And i also have a PCM add-on (see pictures) as well as a cool sample cd set. This is boxed as new, with original purchase reciept. This is simply the most versatile synth ever produced, admittedly superseeded now but still one of the best out there, perfect for gigs etc. new would cost £1800+ looking for £650 for a quick sale. a4tdi130
Come on guys this is an excellent keyboard at a bargain price - buy it for your kids! I've got the Triton Extreme and they are amazing bits of kit. Beez - an MS2000 over a Triton??? With it's amazing 4 voice polyphony? Please...! Get a Triton and stick the MS2000 sample set on it

a4tdi130
Didn't realise we had so many Korg-ites on here Maybe we should get our own forum (then again maybe not, there isn't much you can talk about when it comes to keyboards)!. Anyway, sorry, this is a marketplace thread so I'll stop waffling now. Still atleast the advert keeps getting bumped up the list I would stick it on eBay - surely you'd get atleast £650 very quickly, put it with a buy it now of £700 inc p&p and somebody would bite your hand off. beez
I find analogue synths much easier to use and I prefer how they work. Forget not that I'm a music tech student and this is what I do I can make a digital synth that kicks the tritons arse in about half an hour. It's a bit of software too. Easy. beez
A moog sounds better than a Korg. like this one for example That's my opinion anyway.

craigyb
You cant beat that big aggressive rasping filter sound of amercian synths, the japs just don't get it. I've owned about 30-40 synths in my musical career, I love jap synths cos there smooth and reliable, but I love yank synths cos they can kick you where it hurts, unreliable yes, quirky, yes, but still the best. Don't even mention british synth makers, remember OSc.... Now where's me prophet 5 gone...
a4tdi130
Beez, being a student in something and calling it "what you do" are very different things my young friend (That was purposely patronising by the way!). It's like being a student driver, and telling a Ferrari driver that a Corsa is better because it has an easy to use clutch and good visibility. Different things become important after you've finished learning! Hehe anyway that's an awful analogy and completely irrelevant but I thought it might annoy you It really depends what type of music you want to play, it's like trying to convince an eletric guitarist that an acoustic is better for everything, etc. That's why most recording studios will have an array of analogue and digital synths, samplers, effects, etc. If I had to own ONE synth, then the Korg Triton Extreme would be it (and it is). I also have a full size Yamaha clavinova electric piano which I use as the master keyboard. If I was building a mini studio in my house, definitely I would have some analogue kit around - but it's no good if it's your only keyboard as they are so limited in terms of what they can do, polyphony etc. With my Korg I get drums, sampler, 1500 instruments, ability to clone analogue extremely well, etc... Beez, your comment about "A moog sounds better than a Korg"... hmm ok, can you show me the pan flute, or the gated metal drum sounds, or the sampled dog bark from the Moog please? So, back to the original point, if you want a keyboard, or something to supplement your existing kit, you simply can't go wrong with a Triton. brownswood
phew... somebody might actually not be put off by all this enough to buy it now i hope!
beez
xc90...I know it's all about what music you want to play - thus saying, and I quote 'That's my opinion anyway.' Also, I was refering to the sound of the Moog, not the fancy gadgets that come with it (as if I was going to get a synth, I'd get a synth...not a keyboard that has a synth with it, and a shedload of samples...like the Korg X5D (although that's a nice keyboard) IMO, the Moog is better sounding as a synth, and all it is is a synth, so I'd be much happier. I'm one of these people that if I want something, I want it, not it with something else attached. It's all a matter of opinions, tastes, personal preferences etc. All I'm saying is, I'd rather have an MS2000 if I was going to go Korg.
