vanduara37
Surely i must have a genuine case for a divorce,my wife came home from work yesterday & told me when she was going to work in the morning she noticed one of the neighbours was getting concrete mixed out on the street for their new extension and what a mess the men were making but what she didn,t tell me was that she fuppin drove through the mess cos when i went out to the car there was hardened concrete all over the wheels up the sills & all up the 2 rear quarter panels.I think i,ll need a stonemason to try to sort this lot out
FiftyPence
tbh i think there is a solution you can buy from builders merchants to weaken the concrete which will make it easier to remove from the car. I dont know what it would do to the bodywork though
hotdog
Yep there is a spray on solution that you can get to loosen mortar, but DO IT NOW!!!!!!!!! The longer you leave it, the harder it will be to get it off. And don't go mad spraying the stuff everywhere. Use a sponge and spray the solution on to the sponge, then apply to the mortar/concrete. JUst make sure you've plenty of cold water to remove any surplus solution. And don't forget to give the wife a good shoe-ing
Rustynuts
Never mind the wet/drying sticky mess on the car. If you go for the divorce, she'll get the car anyway. Let it be her problem and go to the solicitors first thing in the morning.

simonb
Concrete takes around 72 hours to 'go off' properly. Buy the stuff now!
vanduara37
Managed to get the lumps of concrete off but it seems to have discoloured the paintwork i,ll give it a go with T-cut 2morrow.its not all bad news though my wife hasn,t spoke to me saturday (sheer bliss). sotty
yeah using the concrete remover is far far far more cheaper than divorce!!! Id get her shoe collection and set them prettily in the wet concrete by the heels!
shao_khan
Dunno if this helps, but a mate of mine got concrete on his car - Insurance paid for a respray as the concrete is potentially corrosive to the paintwork........
