See, I had to be up especially early this morning to go collect something and as the roads were ultra-quiet I decided I'd put the car into Drive-Sport mode and enjoy a spirited run to my destination. It was great fun and put a huge smile on my face to start the day off nicely. However.....as I pulled up at my destination I had to reverse into a driveway. The driveway was opposite a local football pitch, outside of which there were about 25 odd youths obviously waiting to begin their Sunday League training or whatever. This was 7am too so they were very enthusiastic indeed and it's bitterly cold up here today! Anyway, I went to engage reverse. Seven fecking times. I was just about to go into a rage of thinking how on earth a car with so few miles on it could develop such a fault when.....ooops.....I realised that because it was in Drive-Sport mode (which means the gear selector is shifted slightly to the left) that you have to knock the selector slightly right first...and then engage reverse. Oh how fecking embarassing...especially when I realised the whole mob of northern footballing elites youth whatever squad were stood on the other side of the road pissing themselves laughing. So be warned.....disengage Drive-Sport mode before making a total numpty of yourself.
