aswall
Surely it can't be a problem, you don't let in anyone in the car not wear their seatbelt do you?
RedRobin
Exactly! Anyone not wearing a seatbelt is lethal!! Coincidentally I saw a big fat slob of a woman driving a small Peugott in front of me earlier in town who was spending serious time draping her seatbelt to make it look as if she was wearing one!! Again today I noticed a girl behind me in a Focus while traffic was all doing about 20 who was using her rear view mirror as a make-up mirror for bursting zits!! What the feck are these people doing being allowed in cars while we can get pulled for doing 80 on an open dual carriageway!

simkna
One of the best lines ever from the wonderful P.J.O Rourke... "I used to know this girl who weighed about eighty pounds and dressed in skirts that didn't even cover her underwear, when she wore any. I had this beat-up old Mercedes, and we were off someplace about fifty miles from nowhere on Christmas Eve in a horrible sleet storm. The road was really a mess, all curves and big ditches, and I was blotto, and the car kept slipping off the pavement and sliding sideways. And just when I'd hit a big patch of glare ice and was frantically spinning the wheel trying to stay out of the oncoming traffic, she said, "I shaved my pussy today-wanna feel?" Si. simkna
[ QUOTE ] You still thinking of ordering a GTI? [/ QUOTE ] I'm still on here, aren't I? I reckon it's going to be the spring before I can sensibly afford to change to the golf - too much still owing on the Audi at present. When the Mazda is sold (hopefully soon) things may change, but I will most likely hold off until spring. Si.
RedRobin
....And in Spring you'll doubtless get the latest spec for bods like me to drool over! If it happens, Spring will be a great time to start driving a new car.
simkna
Yeah, could work out well - keep the Quattro over the winter, see what new toys VW fit to the Golf in the meantime. Si.

gtsmyth
I have no intention of driving without my seat belt on, it is just very annoying that it starts beeping even before you set off.
simkna
Are there seat sensors - i.e. will the bonger sound if I have my laptop etc. sitting on the passenger seat? Si.
