hotdog Posted September 20, 2005 Report Share Posted September 20, 2005 If any of you are looking to stay North of the border, we had a long weekend up there and found three good hotels: Edinburgh: Parliament House Hotel. Located at the Waverley station end of Princes Street. Ideally located for shopping and sight-seeing in Edinburgh. It took about 5 to 10 minutes walk to reach the Princes Street Gardens and main shops. Our room was clean and decorated in a quite modern colour scheme, with the rest of the hotel being decorated in more traditional colours, but still well kept and clean. There is a restuarant within the Hotel which did a good breakfast and also does evening meals. However, there are several good restuarants a short walk away, so there is plenty of choice. Only downside was the lack of parking, although the Hotel issued a voucher which gave you 20% off the nearest NCP. Cost was £60 per person per night, but if you book through laterooms.com, there are sometimes offers on.
