Neimad
Just noticed this post over on UKMkVs.net... Now I wonder how much it would cost to import a GTI from France, and whether you could get it in RHD?
RedRobin
A much more tasteful way of two-tone seating than Ford's efforts! But having driven both cloth and leather versions of the GTI I much prefer the cloth for physical comfort. All that greyness in the leather optioned GTI really does need some visual relief such as this but I doubt if any other leather colour would work except the red and it would probably look too much in a Red car. Would look best in Black, Silver, Grey, and White GTIs imo.
silentandy
Why don't we get those kind of options! It's not like it matters whether it's RHD or LHD for that.
Simonl
It would surely be cheaper just to get the centre panels re-trimmed
OzGTI
Yep, I think that might be the way to go. I don't mind the charcoal leather and I don't think I would add red leather with my red car but a lighter toned grey could look really nice. simkna
Take a look at the custom interior had had done on my old MX-5 (it's far more red than the pinky photographs would suggest). Shows how a red / black interior looks on a red car. I think the interior at the start of the thread looks great apart from the fact that Stevie Wonder did the stitching!! Not a very professional job. Si.

RedRobin
I expect it looks better in a photo which shows more of the car. I think it's saved by the generally more dated appearance of the MX-5's styling.....A kind of classic look. There were some fabulous American cars of the late 1950s which had cream and turquoise etc upholstery themes. Now I'm showing my age!! Add the white stripes on the bonnet and the whole car integrates a whole style....Black & Red & White or Silver can look very good together....In yer face but good!
