Clembo
Folks, the wife has recently bought a new 55 plate 3 door Polo 1.4 Sport. As its now getting colder we have noticed that there appears to be alot of condensation inside the car on the windscreen? This is first thing in the morning or at night when she is leaving work. Is this normal? As my current and old car along with her old Pug 206 never had such problems? Thinking about going to the local Stealer but have a feeling I'll get fobbed off. Cheers, Paul

A3Floyd
Our Yaris used to do the same thing. I found that closing the interior vents at night did the job. It seems that the moisture from the air outside was getting into the car via the heater vents. Not sure why it only affected the Yaris and not the Audis but worth a try. Ritey
My old polo used to do it when I first got it, I rubbed the interior glass with newspaper and it seemed to cure it
R32North
Don't wipe with with a cloth, sponge or similar thing as this can leave grease and micro deposits on the glass, and it will continue to trap moisture and condensate over night! I'd simply use the heaters to dry the car out and keep the vents closed. Also, avoid parking into the wind and this assists moisture laden air getting into the car. Riz
If anybody else has problems with condensation heres a little tip..... You can find these little pouches/bags in tv, computer packaging etc.... they call them crystal gel`s etc. Put a bag or two under your car seats and that should keep the condensation away... also make sure before you swtich your a/c unit off you put it on recirculation, this will close the outside inlet pipes. DaddyDub
Just another thought. If you get into your car with wet shoes a couple of times a day and it's cold, it's enough water inside the vehicle to make a lot of condensation on the windows.
